Privacy statement for the utilisation of Facebook plugins (“Like” button)

Plugins of the social network Facebook, 1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304 USA, have been integrated into our site. You will recognise the Facebook plugins by the Facebook logo or the “Like” button on our site. An overview of the Facebook plugins is available here:  http://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/

When you visit our site, the plugin establishes a direct connection between your browser and the Facebook server. Facebook then receives the information that you have visited our site with your IP address. When you click on the Facebook “Like” button while you are logged on to your Facebook account, you can link the content of our site with your Facebook profile. Facebook is then able to associate the visit to our site with your user account. We want to point out that we, the operators of the site, do not receive any information about the content of the transmitted data and their utilisation by Facebook. You will find additional information in Facebook’s privacy statement at  http://de-de.facebook.com/policy.php

If you do not want Facebook to be able to associate your visit to our site with your Facebook user account, please log out of your Facebook user account.

Privacy statement for the use of Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service offered by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files which are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. As a rule, the information regarding your use of this website generated by the cookie is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. If, however, IP anonymisation is enabled on this website, Google abbreviates your IP address within the member states of the European Union or in other states which are parties to the treaty on the European Economic Area before transmitting them.

The full IP address is transferred to a Google server in the USA and abbreviated there only in exceptional cases. Google, acting on behalf of the operator of this website, uses the collected information to evaluate your activities on the website, to compile reports about the website activities and to perform further services related to the use of the website and the internet for the website operator. The IP addresses your browser provides within the scope of Google Analytics are not merged with other Google data.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by making the appropriate settings in your browser software; however, we expressly point out to you that doing so may prevent you from being able to use all of the functions on this site in their full scope. Moreover, you can prevent the disclosure of the data generated by the cookie and related to your activities on the website (including your IP address) to Google and the processing of these data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin from the following link:  http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

Privacy statement for the use of Google AdSense

This website uses Google AdSense, a service for the integration of advertising from Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google AdSense uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. Google AdSense also makes use of so-called web beacons (invisible graphic images). These web beacons can be used to analyse information such as visitor traffic on this site.

The information regarding the users’ activities on this website generated by cookies and web beacons (including your IP address) and delivery of advertising formats are transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. This information may be transmitted further by Google to Google’s contract partners. Google will not merge your IP address with other data that have been collected from you and stored, however.

You can prevent the installation of cookies by making the appropriate settings in your browser software; however, we expressly point out to you that doing so may prevent you from being able to use all of the functions on this website in their full scope. Your use of this website constitutes your acceptance of the processing of your data that have been collected by Google in the manner described above and for the aforementioned purpose.

Privacy statement for the use of Google +1

Collection and transfer of information:

Using the Google +1 button allows you to make information public around the world. You and other users receive personalised content from Google and our partners via the Google +1 button. Google stores both the information that you have assigned +1 to content as well as information about the site you have viewed by clicking on +1. Your +1 can be displayed as information along with your profile name and your photo in Google services such as in search results or in your Google profile or at other positions on websites and advertisements on the internet.

Google records information about your +1 activities for the purpose of improving Google services for you and others. If you want to be able to use the Google +1 button, you will require a public Google profile that is visible worldwide and that must as a minimum contain the name selected for the profile. This name is used for all Google services. In some cases, this name can replace a different name that you have used when sharing content via your Google account. The identity of your Google profile can be displayed to users who know your email address or who are in possession of other identifying information from you.

Use of the collected information:

In addition to the intended uses described above, the information you make available can be used in accordance with the applicable Google privacy regulations. Google may publish summarised statistics regarding the +1 activities of users or transfer these statistics to users and partners such as publishers, advertisers or affiliated websites.

External content

We use active JavaScript content from third-party providers on our internet site. When our internet site is accessed, these third-party providers may receive personal information about your visit to our internet site. You can prevent this by installing a JavaScript blocker (such as the browser plugin “NoScript” (www.noscript.net)) or by disabling JavaScript in your browser. Doing so may result in restrictions on the use of functions on the internet sites you visit.

Utilisation of cookies

We utilise cookies on various pages of the site so that we can make visits to our website more attractive and enable the use of certain functions. These so-called “cookies” are small text files that your browser can store on your computer. The process or storing a cookie file is also called “setting a cookie”.

You can yourself set your browser as you see fit so that you are notified whenever a cookie is set; it is possible to decide on a case-by-case basis whether to accept the cookie, to accept all cookies or to block all cookies. Cookies can be used for a number of different purposes, e.g. to recognise that your PC has previously connected to a web site (long-term cookies) or to store the most recently viewed offers (session cookies).

We use cookies to enhance your user convenience. However, our partner companies are not permitted, or it is technically impossible for the partners, to use cookies to obtain, process or utilise personal data via our website. Most of the cookies we use are deleted from your hard drive at the end of the browser session (session cookies). Other cookies stay on your computer and enable us to recognise your computer when you visit us again (long-term cookies). The type of cookies and the manner in which we use them do not lead to any detriment or risk for you. We recommend that you allow cookies from our website to be accepted so that you can use our convenience functions.

Data security and data protection, communication via email

We utilise all of the available technical and organisational means to store your personal data in such a way that they are inaccessible to third parties. We cannot, however, guarantee complete data security for email communications, so we recommend using the postal service for the communication of information that is highly confidential.

Revoking consent — data information and requests for changes

The Federal Data Protection Act gives you the right to request information free of charge about your data that have been stored as well as the right to correct, block or delete these data. Your data will be deleted upon request provided that this is not prohibited by statutory regulations. You may revoke any consent for the use of your personal data that you have granted to us at any time. You may at any time send requests for information, deletions and corrections of your data as well as suggestions to the following address:
